Puffy — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

Puffy is a private way to stay close to a few people you care about — sending a gentle "puff" and, when you choose, sharing your location. This policy explains what we collect and why. We collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

Account info: your name and phone number, used to create your account and let your contacts find you on Puffy.

Contacts (optional): if you allow access, we match your phone contacts against people already on Puffy so you can connect, and let you invite others. Contact details are matched using one-way hashes; we never sell or publish your address book.

Location (only when you choose): when you start sharing, your location is shared with the specific favorite you selected, for the duration you pick. You can stop at any time.

Device tokens: to deliver push notifications (a puff, a location request).

How we use it

To run the core features: connecting you with your people, delivering puffs, and sharing location when you ask. We do not use your data for advertising profiles.

Sharing & storage

Your data is stored securely and is only shared with the people you explicitly connect with (and only the data you choose, like a live location for a set time). We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service.

Your choices

You control location sharing per person and can revoke it anytime. You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your data. Contact access can be turned off in your device settings.
